Dezigndia built a multi-channel appointment and patient engagement platform as a fixed cost project over 12 months: one scheduling system across web, mobile and the call center, automated confirmations and reminders, a patient self-service portal, and operational analytics for the teams who run the clinics. The team was a product consultant, a UX designer, full stack developers and QA engineers.

About the client
A Global Healthcare Organization serves a large and varied patient population across multiple facilities and service lines. Outpatient appointments are the front door to most of that care, and the scheduling process shapes how patients judge the whole organization.
Demand for digital healthcare experiences was rising. The organization needed a booking platform that could handle current volumes, keep pace with growth and give clinical and administrative teams a live view of what was happening across the estate.
The challenge
What was breaking.
The booking process depended on several disconnected systems and on manual coordination between patients, clinicians and administrative teams. Each channel kept its own view of the diary. As services expanded, holding the schedule together took more staff time, and opportunities to improve patient experience or make better use of clinical capacity went unrealised.

How we went at it.
Dezigndia built a healthcare modernization roadmap around three things: simplify appointment management, improve patient communication, and give operations the data to run clinics well. The center of it was a connected patient engagement platform that puts every booking channel on one diary, automates the communication around each appointment, and reports on demand and utilization in real time.
The order mattered. Reminders only reduce no-shows if the appointment record they refer to is the one the clinic is working from, and analytics only help capacity planning if every channel writes to the same diary. So the single scheduling core came first, and the patient-facing and operational layers were built on it.

What changed.
